The Astoria Column, viewing point, was closed this particular weekend.

The column features historic art and a full range of view.

Access to some of the best coastal viewing is only a short drive away.

The river is wide in Astoria and has shipping lanes.

  1. Astoria is a beautiful little town. I particularly enjoyed the maritime museum and watching the giant ships come in and out of the river mouth. Nice photos! PNW is my favorite part of the US. ❤
